About Soda City Films
Our Story
Soda City Films was founded by Jonathan Palance, a University of South Carolina graduate with a background in Media Arts and audio engineering. We have been making professional video content for over 15 years, and what started solo has grown into a full production team that handles everything from the first conversation to final delivery.
The work has earned recognition along the way, including multiple ADDY Awards, including a 2026 Regional Gold ADDY, the highest creative honor at that level of competition. Those wins matter, but they're a byproduct of what we're actually after: video that genuinely reflects who the client is and connects with the people they're trying to reach. Not content that checks a box, but something that moves an audience.

Our Video Production Services
The video creation process is complex. Our team is skilled enough to handle the process in completion, from inception to delivery. Here's how that breaks down:
Planning
In a word, this process could also be call pre-production. This is where you reach out with an idea or a need and we begin the process of determining the right course of action. What do you want to say? Who do you want to say it to? When? Once we've locked on to the objective, it's time for us to get to work.
Production
Our favorite part! When production begins, you will really begin to feel the wheels turning. It's so much fun finally seeing your plans come to life! Whether on location or at a live event, production includes the physical capturing of footage in whatever location that may be, and finally uploading and backing up the footage.
Editing/Delivery
Soda City Films was born out of editing. That's where it all started! Our editing process is unlike any other in the region, and we guarantee you'll see the difference. After delivering your final product, we are able to help implement your video ad placements, as well as continue to build on your marketing plan going forward.
