Filming in a Hurricane

When we originally planned to shoot Shayla Riley's promotional piece, it was blue skies and sunshine. Hurricane Ian soon rolled in, and though that shooting window closed, we were able to still get the job done. If you look closely, you can see (in some places) just how windy it was! Shayla was a rockstar, though, and Ashley Elsey (my client) had the whole shoot planned perfectly from start to finish. The plan was to gather the narrative content via interview (at her GORGEOUS home - she's an expert decorator) and grab broll at multiple locations. All of this was to happen within a few hours, with the time window seemingly getting smaller by the minute.. This ended up working out perfectly, finishing at an event they were already planning to attend at the Columbia Museum of Art. When there's a will, there's a way.
